DIGI telecom subscriptions to be sold in all Belgian post offices

Telecom operator DIGI will soon sell its mobile and internet subscriptions in all 655 Bpost post offices across Belgium, the two companies announced on Monday.

The partnership will last five years and is a major step for DIGI, a low-cost telecom provider that entered the Belgian market at the end of 2024.

Until now, the Belgian-Romanian company mainly sold subscriptions through its website, sales agents and around 100 partner shops. It does not yet have its own stores.

DIGI’s services are already available in the country’s 83 largest post offices. The rollout will gradually expand to all Bpost branches during the summer.

Customers will be able to sign up for mobile phone and home internet subscriptions directly at post office counters. The main focus will initially be on mobile services, as DIGI’s fibre internet network is still being developed, mainly in Brussels.

DIGI is one of the newest challengers to Belgium’s three main telecom companies: Proximus, Orange Belgium and Telenet. The company hopes the Bpost deal will help it reach more customers across the country.

For Bpost, the agreement is part of a wider plan to turn post offices into local service centres. Besides postal services, many branches already offer banking services through BNP Paribas Fortis and international money transfers through Ria Money Transfer.

Bpost said DIGI was chosen after a selection process involving several telecom providers.
