DEME reports record profit as offshore energy boosts results

Belgian dredging and offshore wind group DEME has posted record results for the past year. Net profit rose by 20 per cent to 346 million euros.
Turnover edged up from 4.1 billion to 4.2 billion euros. Europe remains DEME's largest market, accounting for more than half of total revenue.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) climbed 22 per cent to 931 million, beating analysts’ expectations. The company achieved an EBITDA margin of 22.4 per cent.
The strong performance was driven mainly by DEME’s offshore energy division, which benefited from high demand for offshore wind projects. Traditional dredging and environmental activities were more mixed.
The company’s order book stood at 7.6 billion at the end of the year, slightly down from 8.2 billion a year earlier.
Looking ahead, DEME expects revenue and profit margins in 2026 to remain in line with 2025. Investment spending is forecast at around 450 million.
Shareholders will also benefit from the record results. The proposed dividend will rise from €3.80 to €4.50 per share.
