Delphine Nkansa claims 200m European title at U23 Athletics Championships

Delphine Nkansa surprised everyone by winning the European title in the 200 metres at the U23 Athletics European Championships in Espoo, Finland.

The Belgian crossed the line in 23.31 seconds. Her personal record is 23.03 seconds. Silver went to Hungary's Boglarka Takacs in 23.33 on Sunday. Bronze went to Greece's Polyniki Emmanouilidou in 23.41.

Nkansa had earlier finished fourth in the 100m final in Espoo.

The U23 European Athletics Championships is a biennial athletics competition for European athletes under the age of 23, organised by the European Athletics Association.
