Coronavirus: Quarter more people in Belgian hospitals than a week ago
Over 1,200 people infected with coronavirus are in Belgian hospitals today, or a quarter more than a week ago. Most other parameters are also on the rise. The Public Health bulletin revealed this on Friday.
It is not only the number of coronavirus infections that is rising. The number of people walking around with respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), one of the leading causes of colds, also continues to increase. But, according to virologist Steven Van Gucht, the primary recommendations remain more useful than ever.
Besides coronavirus and RSV, the influenza virus is circulating, although it remains below the epidemic threshold.
