Company behind ChatGPT to open office in Brussels

OpenAI, the US artificial intelligence company best known for creating ChatGPT, announced via X on Wednesday that it is opening an office in Brussels.
In addition to Brussels, new offices will be opened in Paris, Seattle, New York and Singapore. Existing offices in San Francisco, London, Dublin and Tokyo will be expanded. OpenAI has already started the recruitment process.
It is likely that the company chose Brussels because it is home to the EU institutions. Meanwhile, Paris and London are well-known hubs for technological innovation, and Singapore is expected to serve as the company's Asian hub.
OpenAI recently raised 6.6 billion dollars from investors, valuing the company at 157 billion dollars and further cementing its status as a Silicon Valley star. The company is considered a key player in the field of generative artificial intelligence.
