Club Brugge recruits English goalkeeper Josef Bursik from Stoke City

Club Brugge has recruited 22-year-old English goalkeeper Josef Bursik from England's Stoke City. The Belgian first-division football team reported this on Saturday.

The England youth international will sign a 4.5-season contract with Club Brugge. Bursik was sixteen games under the crossbar at 'The Potters' this season in the EFL Championship, the highest division of the English Football League and the second-highest division in English football. At the Jan Breydel Stadium, he will likely become the duplicate of regular number one between the posts of Simon Mignolet.

Club Brugge is fourth in the Jupiler Pro League with 34 points from nineteen games. On Sunday, Scott Parker's team plays a home game against RSC Anderlecht, which is always considered one of the clashes of the football season in Belgian football.
