BXLBeerFest celebrates craft breweries from across the globe
Some 60 breweries from all over the world will be showcasing their best beers over two days at the BXLBeerFest from 30 September to 1 October. The event will take place in Shed-1 at Tour & Taxis in Brussels.
Geuze, lambic, IPA, pils, stout and craft beer will be in the spotlight at the fifth edition of the BXLBeerFest. The festival coincides with the culinary festival EAT, which takes place from 28 September to 1 October at the Gare Maritime. Together, they will build bridges between brewhouses and kitchens.
"We want to share with our visitors the passion that drives these breweries, the passion for authentic beers"
Visitors will be able to choose from more than 300 beers. Belgian breweries Cantillon, Brouwerij d'Oude Maalderij, Hof ten Dormaal, Gueuzerie Tilquin and Brasserie de Blaugies will be present. "The BXLBeerFest focuses on small craft breweries," the organisers say. "We want to share with our visitors the passion that drives these breweries, the passion for authentic beers."
This year sees a collaboration between the two festivals. A selection of Brussels beers will be available at EAT, while visitors who buy a ticket for one event will receive a discount on the price of tickets to the other. The outdoor terrace will serve as a link between the two festivals.
