Brussels Art Gallery Weekend kicks off today

The 15th edition of the Brussels Gallery Weekend kicks off this Thursday with 47 art galleries opening their doors to the public at the former printing works of the Belgian National Bank until Sunday evening.

Those on their bikes on "Car Free Sunday" will be able to ride until the former printing works of the National Bank and see the art galleries for the anniversary edition of the Brussels Gallery Weekend, which is the second oldest event of its kind in Europe.

In total, 20,000 square metres will be dedicated to the works of 125 artists in the "Sculpture Factory" and "Generation Brussels" exhibitions, the latter serving as a springboard for young Brussels artists and is based around the theme of care this year.

Furthermore, for the first time in the event's history, young Brussels artists will be rewarded with a prize from the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles which is based in Paris, in collaboration with the KOMMET association, based in Lyon.
