Brussels Airport plans six new destinations and four new airlines for summer launch

Brussels Airport kicks off the summer season on 27 March with an extensive new ​ schedule, including flights to six new destinations and a hub for four new airlines. 

With summer approaching, Brussels Airport has released an overview of its new summer schedule, which starts on Sunday 27 March. The airport will offer direct connections to 185 destinations, provided by a total of sixty passenger airlines. As of April, TUI fly will offer weekly flights to Aruba. Within Europe, new sun destinations Ohrid (North Macedonia) and Zadar (Croatia) will be added to the TUI fly schedule. AGEAN will offer flights to Kalamata (Greece). ​ 

The airport also welcomes four new airlines. Norwegian airline Flyr will start operating four flights a week to Oslo in May. Icelandic airline PLAY will start with four weekly flights to Reykjavik, with connections to the United States. TUS Airways, from Cyprus, will fly to ​
Larnaca on Mondays and Fridays from 2 May. ​ As from 30 June, the Dutch carrier Transavia will station a Boeing 737-800 at Brussels Airport and operate 16 flights a week to Alicante, Ibiza, Faro and Heraklion. 

Apart from the four new airlines, Brussels Airport also welcomes three airlines that are resuming operations after a two-year crisis with COVID-19. At the end of March, Delta Air Lines will start a new daily service to New York/JFK. As of May, Air Transat will operate three flights a week to Montreal. CSA Czech Airlines returns to the route to Prague at the end of March. ​ 

Several airlines are further expanding their offer from Brussels Airport this summer. For the first time, Corendon Airlines will be flying to Las Palmas and Tenerife in Spain and to Nador and Al Hoceima in Morocco. Eurowings starts a weekly flight to Pristina (Kosovo). ​
Brussels Airlines opens routes to Mytilene and Samos in Greece, Rabat (Morocco) and Munich (Germany). SKY Express in Greece will fly to both Heraklion and Athens, Royal Air Maroc will fly twice a week to Marrakech and Turkish Airlines three times a week to Ankara. Finally, Swiss will also provide a daily flight to Geneva.
