Brussels Airlines pilots and cabin crew plan to strike on June 23, 24 and 25

A strike is very likely to take place at Belgian airline company Brussels Airlines on June 23, 24 and 25. "I think there is very little chance that a solution will still be found," said Tim Roelandt of the liberal trade union ACLVB.
On Wednesday, the unions had postponed their decision on a strike call by Brussels Airlines cabin crew for another 24 hours, after the management had put a new proposal on the table.
That proposal could not convince the unions, however, which according to them included a premium. "The flying personnel has never asked for money to solve their problems, they have asked for structural interventions that will secure the future of the company and its employees," it sounds.
Brussels Airlines pilots and cabin crew are unhappy about the work pressure caused by the increased demand for air travel. Another conciliation meeting concerning the pilots was planned for Friday, but ACLVB president Roelandt is not convinced it will take place.
