Bright Festival wraps Brussels in a spectacle of light

The 8th edition of the Bright Festival started in Brussels on Thursday evening. Visitors to the city centre can enjoy a light show until Sunday.

For four evenings this year, the Bright Festival will take visitors through two districts: the Royal District and the European Quarter. These areas will be the backdrop for some 30 poetic works created by artists from around the world.

In addition to the artistic installations, there will be guided tours, live entertainment and the illumination of many heritage sites. New this year is the Kids' Zone.

This edition will also focus on the EU and European values, as Belgium holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The festival is free and open to the public until Sunday from 17.30 to 22.00.
