Billie Eilish set to headline at Pukkelpop festival

The first headliner for Pukkelpop, Belgium's second-largest music festival, is known: on Friday, August 18th, Billie Eilish will come to the Flemish summer festival.

Pukkelpop announced the first name on Wednesday at 11.00 a.m. sharp in Hasselt (near the festival site in Kiewit, Limburg province) with a countdown clock on a large container adorned with television screens, revealing the name of Billie Eilish.

It is not the first time the wildly popular American singer-songwriter will appear on the Pukkelpop bill. In 2019, at only 17 years old, she was the youngest-ever headliner at the festival. At the time, Eilish was initially scheduled to perform in the Dance Hall (one of Pukkelpop's secondary venues, ed.), but her huge success and popularity that year earned her a spot on the main stage.

At 21, she will now make her second appearance at the festival. Pukkelpop has been organised annually since 1985 and has drawn some 180.000 visitors every year since 2009.
