Belgians no longer need visa for stays of up to 45 days in Vietnam

Belgians who wish to travel to Vietnam for a period of up to 45 days no longer need to apply for a visa, announced foreign minister Maxime Prévot on Monday. The rule will take effect on 15 August.

“This was one of the most important requests that the King and I made during the state visit to Vietnam in April,” Prévot wrote on X. “The Vietnamese prime minister had committed to this during our meeting. Now it has been achieved, thanks in part to the follow-up by our embassy.”
