Building fair Batibouw draws nearly 200,000 visitors and plans expansion in 2027
The 2026 edition of construction fair Batibouw attracted 198,000 visitors to Brussels Expo, slightly down from 203,685 last year. Organisers described the turnout as a success and already have plans to expand next year.
Batibouw 2026 was the 67th edition of Belgium's largest annual trade fair for construction, renovation and interior design. All five halls of Brussels Expo were fully occupied, hosting more than 300 exhibitors spread across approximately 40,000 square metres.
According to the organisers, several companies were unable to secure a spot due to limited space. Major brands including Velux, Harol and Novy returned this year. Surveys among exhibitors indicate that most visitors attended with fixed renovation plans.
In response to demand, the fair will expand in 2027. The next edition, scheduled from 12-21 February, will span six halls. It will open on the Friday with a day reserved exclusively for professionals.
