Air Congo to fly between Brussels and Kinshasa four times a week

Brussels Airlines faces competition on the route between Brussels and the Congolese capital Kinshasa. The Congolese airline Air Congo will start flights between the two cities on July 1. Airport operator Brussels Airport confirmed this on Friday, adding it involves four flights per week, on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

The flights will be operated using a Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from Ethiopian Airlines, which is a major shareholder of Air Congo. According to the booking tool, the aircraft will depart from Kinshasa at 10:00 AM and arrive at Zaventem at 7:00 PM. Flights to Congo depart from Brussels Airport at 8:45 PM and land in the Congolese capital at 3:45 AM.

Brussels Airlines is currently the only player on the Brussels-Kinshasa route. That airline flies there and back every day.
